Krystal Kolkhorst-Moy was a four-year letterwinner for the Bobcat volleyball team from 2001-04. The setter was part of two Southland Conference Championship teams and was named the Southland Conference Player of the Year as a senior. She was also named Texas State Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2003.
Kolkhorst-Moy holds the Bobcat all-time record for most assists in one match with 84 against UTA in 2004. She also finished that campaign with 1,514 assists, which is a mark that remains the second-highest total recorded in a single season in school history. Kolkhorst-Moy finished her career third all-time in assists with 4,440. She led the maroon and gold in aces in both 2002 and 2004, was the team leader in assists each of her final three seasons, and also paced the Bobcats in digs her junior year.

Kolkhorst-Moy was a captain in 2003-04 and helped lead the Bobcats to Southland Conference Championships in both her junior and senior seasons. Texas State finished 27-6 overall and 17-3 in SLC play her senior year. The Bobcats went on to win the regular season championship and the SLC tournament championship, earning a spot in the NCAA tournament with a trip to the Austin Regional. The Bobcats finished an impressive 23-8 overall with an 18-2 SLC mark her junior season.

Along with being named SLC Player of the Year, Kolkhorst-Moy was also named All-SLC First Team in 2004. She dominated the 2004 SLC Championship, earning a place on the SLC All-Tournament Team and being named tournament MVP. She also landed on the All-SLC Second Team in 2003. Kolkhorst-Moy was a three-time member of the SLC All-Academic Team, earning First Team recognition her junior and senior years. She was also named to the District VI All-Academic team as a senior and was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team.

Kolkhorst-Moy was active in several student-athlete committees during her time at Texas State. She represented TXST at NCAA Leadership Conferences, was the McCoy College of Business graduation speaker and also received the McCoy College of Business Outstanding Student Award.

Kolkhorst-Moy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Texas State in 2005. She also went on to earn a master's degree in real estate from Texas A&M in 2006. After graduating, she started a career in the global commercial real estate industry. She is currently employed with Alvarez and Marsal - a financial consulting firm - where she has held a management position in the real estate group since 2015. She is a member of the Appraisal Institute - a global association of real estate appraisers - and the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, among other real estate organizations. She is active with Texas State as a football season-ticket holder, Bobcat Club donor and has attended several "T" Association and volleyball events.
