Texas State Athletics

Jim Barnes attended Texas State from 1935-1939. During his time at Texas State, Jim was a member of the Bobcat football, basketball and track team. He was also honored with a nomination for the Rio Grande Valley Athletic Hall of Fame. Jim went on to become an honorary life member of The Office of Education Association of Texas, Vocational Industrial Clubs of America and the Texas Congress of Parents and Teachers.
