The Bobcats head into the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championship with three top five finishes this season, posting back-to-back fourth place finishes at the Kapolei Invitational and Hal Williams Collegiate for season bests.
Sakke Siltala has led the Bobcats in six of nine tournaments, posting three top five finishes, with
Jack Burke taking the lead in the remaining three, placing in the top 10 twice.
Sun Belt Standouts
Sakke Siltala and
Jack Burke have both earned Sun Belt Conference Golfer of the Week honors this season. Most recently, Siltala received the nod after finishing inside the top five for the third time this season, placing fourth at the Lake Las Vegas Invite. Siltala was also honored on Nov. 1 after tying for second at the Kapolei Invitational. Burke took home accolades on Feb. 13 following a runner-up finish at the Hal Williams Collegiate.

Texas State's run in the 2024 Sun Belt Conference Men's Golf Championship came to an end in the match play semifinals as the Bobcats lost to the No. 1 seed Arkansas State 4-1 on Thursday at Annandale Golf Club.
Texas State, which was among the four teams to advance to the match play after 54-hole stroke play, earned its lone win with a 2&1 decision by
Tom Roed Karlsen at the top of the lineup. However, the Red Wolves won at the No. 2-5 spots to secure the win.

STROKE PLAY
For the second day in a row, Texas State posted one of the top team scores in a round on Wednesday and it helped them advance to the 2024 Sun Belt Conference Men's Golf Championship match play to determine this year's conference champion.
The Bobcats shot 3-under 285 in the final round of stroke play, which moved them up three spots on the team leaderboard and into a tie for third. The 285 was one stroke off the best team score posted on Wednesday (ULM, 4-under 284) and tied with two others for the second-best. The two others – James Madison and Georgia Southern – were staved off by the Bobcats and finished four and five strokes back, respectively, of cracking the top-four.
Texas State ended the 54-hole stroke play with a 13-over 877 (303-289-285) and made an eighteen-stroke improvement from their first to final round. It was seven shots back of second and 18 behind Arkansas State, which shot 5-under 859 and was the only team to finish under par.
