ERIE, Colorado – The Texas State men's golf team wrapped up day one of action at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational and Les Fowler Individual Invitational Monday evening. The Bobcat lineup is competing at the Mark Simpson event, while also having individual representation at the Les Fowler event.
Sophomore
Jaxon Donaldson is currently leading the Bobcats in his first action as part of the lineup this season after opening with a first-round 66 on the par 72 course. Donaldson went 2-over on the second 18 to sit at -4 and tied for 20th.
Both
Ben Loveard and
Bryce Womack are tied for 30th at -3 after each turning in rounds under par on day one, while
Brannan Cox is tied for 67th (+2) and
Sakke Siltala is tied for 83rd (+6).
As a team, the Bobcats sit tied for seventh with Wyoming at -10. Long Beach State leads the 19-team field at -32 with Arkansas State second (-31) and host Colorado third (-28).
Individually,
Enzo Dakiche is representing TXST at the Les Fowler Individual and is tied for 12th at +1.
