GAINESVILLE, Fla. & KINGSVILLE, Texas – At day two of the Tom Jones Memorial on Saturday,
Daniel Harrold recorded the fastest all-conditions time in school history for the men's 100-meter hurdles. Harrold 's time of 13.35 was the second-fastest time at the meet and is the third-fastest time (all conditions) in the NCAA this year.
In the prelims of the event, Harrold recorded a wind-legal time of 13.67 and placed sixth headed into the finals. His time of 13.67 is the third-fastest time in Texas State history.

The men's 4x400 meter-relay, consisting of
Brian West,
Taahir Kelly,
Shawn Collins and
Dominick Yancy, recorded the second-fastest time in school history, when they recorded a 3:04.35. The relay team placed seventh overall in an event that featured the top-ranked teams in the nation.
Elisabet Runarsdottir, the nation's No.1 ranked women's hammer thrower, placed second in the event on Saturday. Runnarsdottir recorded a mark of 67.82m/222-6, which is her third-best mark of the season.
Lara Roberts, the No. 1 ranked freshman in the women's hammer throw, placed fourth in the event, with a mark of 64.33m/211. The freshman placed fourth in a field made up of the top throwers in the country.
In the men's 800 meters,
Ka'Bren Mitchell recorded a PR in the event, with a mark of 1:51.68. Mitchell is now ranked third in the Sun Belt Conference for the event.
The Bobcats recorded four top-10 finishes on day two of the Tom Jones Memorial.
Kingsville Classic Cup
In the women's hammer throw, the Bobcats took home first and third place.
Lauryn Small recorded a new PR with a mark of 57.05m/187-2 and placed first. Her teammate
Siena Lambert placed third with a mark of 44.31m/145-4.
"This competition has served as a great lead in to prepare us for the stretch prior to the Sunbelt outdoor championships," Texas State Director of Track and Field/Cross Country

The women's throw squad continued their success in the discus throw, by finishing first and second in the event.
Utitofon Sam won the event, with a throw of 52.30m/171-7 and
Carly Watts placed second with a mark of 45.39m/148-11.
In the women's shot put, the Bobcats took home first and second place.
Sophia Haberer took home gold, with a PR throw of 14.96m/49-1 and
Lauryn Small placed second after she marked a 14.88m/48-9.75.
For the men's throw squad,
Alberto Archundia placed first in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 52.81m/173-3. The freshman was .08 meters away from tying his PR. Archundia also placed third in the discus throw, with a mark of 46.13m/151-4.
Chris Preddie recorded his best triple jump of the year, with a mark of 15.47m/50-9. Preddie placed first in the event and is ranked first in the Sun Belt by .39 meters.
The men's jump squad found more success in the high jump, when
Aiden Hayes took home first with a jump of 2.06m/6-9.
For the women's jump squad,
Precious Okougbodu placed second in the women's triple jump, with a mark of 12.50m/41. This marked Okougbodu's second-best jump of the season.
The three Bobcat women's pole vaulters all tied for second in the event on Saturday.
Breanna Brandes,
Kaylee Crank and
Matilde Poli all recorded vaults of 3.50m/11-11.75.
Both the men's and women's distance squads swept the podium in events on Saturday.
The men's squad swept the 1500 meters, led by Jake smith who placed first with a mark of 4:03.67. His teammates
Julian Dominguez and
Nathan Morales placed second and third with times of 4:04.80 and 4:08.35.
The women's squad swept the 800 meters at the Cactus Cup.
Abigail Parra took home gold, with a time of 2:18.65. Her teammate
Alexia Tiscareno Macias placed second, with a 2:21.73 and
Kimberly Gloria took third with a time of 2:26.13.
Elias Palmer capped off the meet by finishing second in the men's 3000M Steeplechase. Palmer recorded a 10:00.67, which is his second-best time this season.
The Bobcats return to the track next Saturday, April 20, when they compete at the Alumni Muster in College Station.
