SAN MARCOS, Texas— Texas State track and field closed out the Charles Austin Classic with a dominant showing Saturday at the Bobcat Track & Field Complex, highlighted by multiple event titles, personal bests and top marks across the Sun Belt.

The Bobcats were led by a strong all-around performance in both the field and track events, capturing numerous event victories and continuing their momentum from day one of the home meet.

In the throwing events, Cassandra Rendon claimed the women's discus title with a mark of 50.61m (166-0), while Lesedi Khunou added a sixth-place finish at 43.05m (141-3). On the men's side, Daniel Strooh secured gold in the discus with a throw of 57.83m (189-8), while Adam Carter placed second with a personal-best mark of 54.18m (177-9).

Texas State continued its dominance in the field with Chinenye Uzoh winning the women's high jump at 1.70m (5-7), while Easton Hammond took first in the men's high jump with a clearance of 2.03m (6-8).

In the pole vault, Caden Ohara delivered a personal-best performance of 5.20m (17-0.75) to win the men's event. Breanna Brandes and Matilde Poli each recorded top-three finishes on the women's side, tying for second and third at 3.75m (12-3.5).

The Bobcats also found success in the shot put, as Sophia Haberer won the women's title with a personal-best throw of 15.77m (51-9). Hannah Kemele followed with a second-place finish at 15.10m (49-6.5), while Adam Carter added a runner-up finish in the men's shot put at 16.87m (55-4.25).

On the track, Texas State's sprint group delivered a standout performance. Paige Archer claimed gold in the women's 100m with a time of 11.76 before adding another title in the 200m (23.64).

On the men's side, Ty'Shaun Lloyd won the 100m in 10.72, while Ja'Shaun Lloyd continued his dominant weekend with victories in the 110m hurdles (13.81) and 200m (21.03, PR).

The Bobcats swept the relay events, beginning with the men's 4x100m team of Davis, Bonner, Donley and Lloyd, which took first in 40.12. Texas State followed with wins in both 4x400m relays, as the women's squad of Amiadamen, Farrell, Rodas and Evans clocked 3:26.72, while the men's team of Katanic, Moffett, Donley, Sheffield and Davis finished in 3:14.34.

In the hurdles, Victoria Amiadamen secured a first-place finish in the women's 400m hurdles with a personal-best time of 58.57, while Mihajlo Katanic won the men's 400m hurdles in 52.71. The Bobcats also saw a podium sweep in the men's 110m hurdles, led by Ja'Shaun Lloyd, followed by Joshua Taylor (13.89) and Arveyon Davis (13.98, PR).

Texas State's distance group also made an impact, as Kila Rodas won the women's 800m in 2:12.60, leading a 1-2-3 finish alongside Kathryn Evans (2:12.88, PR) and Haley Hall (2:14.97, PR). Alexia Macias added a victory in the women's 1500m (4:27.09), while Sofia Pena (11:23.56, PR) and Elias Palmer (9:06.52, PR) each claimed titles in the 3000m steeplechase.

The Bobcats continued to add depth across events, including a win from Damacio Hooks in the men's triple jump (14.86m/48-9) and multiple personal-best performances throughout the meet.

Texas State will return to action next weekend as the outdoor season continues.
