Soccer Hosts Little Rock Sunday

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State soccer team (2-8-1, 2-4-0 Sun Belt) welcomes Little Rock (2-4-1, 2-2-1 Sun Belt) to the Bobcat Soccer Complex on Sunday with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.
 
The match will be streamed on ESPN+ with Brant Freeman providing the play-by-play and Lindsay Mason Yanko as the analyst. Live stats and a radio broadcast on KTSW of the contest will also be available.
 
Bobcat Soccer Complex Attendance Policy

Goals2Cure
Texas State is putting on its fourth annual Goals2Cure initiative that raises funds in support of women fighting ovarian cancer. TXST is collecting pledges for each goal scored this season with donations going directly to benefit the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. Last Weekend
The Bobcats fell last Saturday to West Division leading Arkansas State 1-0 in double overtime as the Red Wolves were awarded a penalty kick on a highly controversial call. Ally Kewish, Renny Moore and Wimberley Wright led Texas State with two shots apiece off the bench.
 
Beth Agee recorded five saves that increased her season total to 60. The freshman moved into 10th-place on the program's career list and is just shy of cracking the Bobcats' season and freshman list as well.
 
Scouting Little Rock
Little Rock is coming off a scoreless draw Thursday night at home against Arkansas State. Last weekend saw the Trojans fall 2-0 at home to Louisiana before beating ULM 2-0 on the road.
 
Doro Greulich leads LR with two goals on six shots. Also finding the back of the net has been Abril Lucio and Morgan Smocovich.
 
Mari Young paces the team with 18 shot attempts and nine shots on goal. Also attempting double-digit shots has been Peyton Laughley (11), Lucio (11) and Smocovich (16).
 
In goal, Saskia Wagner has played every minute. She enters the match with a 0.83 GAA, 29 saves and a .829 save percentage.
 
All-Time vs. Red Wolves
Texas State leads the all-time series with Little Rock 5-1-3. The first meeting saw the Trojans win 2-0 in the Arkansas State capital on Sept. 25. Entering Sunday, the Bobcats are winless in the last four meetings (0-1-3).
 
Last win for TXST was on Oct. 15, 2017 on the road in a double overtime by a 3-2 score. Alyssa Phelan knocked home the golden goal with just under five minutes left in the second overtime period.
 
When hosting the Trojans, the Bobcats are 3-0-1 all-time. Last home meeting was a 1-1 draw on Sept. 28, 2018.
