2025-26 Recap
The Bobcats put together a strong 2025-26 campaign, competing in 12 regular-season tournaments across Texas and around the country before two individuals advanced to NCAA Regionals. The Bobcats opened the season with four fall tournaments, highlighted by a second-place finish at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate, before returning to action in February with a victory at the Texas State Invitational, winning the 15-team event in New Braunfels. Texas State followed with a fourth-place showing at the Texas Golf Throwdown and later posted a fourth-place finish at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawai'i. The Bobcats closed the regular season finishing third in stroke play at the Sun Belt Conference Championship, advancing to match play and earning a 3-0 victory over South Alabama before falling in the championship match. Texas State ultimately capped the season with a trip to the NCAA Waco Regional.

Grace Quintanilla and
Yvonne Chamness wrapped up 2026 NCAA Regional action at the Ridgewood Country Club in Waco, Texas. The appearance for the duo marked the third consecutive year the Bobcats made an appearance in the NCAA postseason, including doing so as a team in 2024.
In her first appearance at the event, Quintanilla (73-75-68--216) closed strong carding her sixth round in the 60s this season. The freshman signed for a third-round 68, which included four birdies, two of which were on the final two holes of the event. For the tournament, Quintanilla went 6-over to finish tied for 33rd.
Chamness (76-74-71--221), who was making her third straight appearance and second as an individual, finished the event tied for 46th at 11-over marking her second highest postseason placement.

WGCA All-American Scholars: Texas State women's golf returners
Mana Hersperger and
Grace Quintanilla were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA). Hersperger and Quintanilla were selected based on their high-level academic records as well as their participation on the course. Honorees must have achieved an overall grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher and have played in 50% of the team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds, among other qualifications.
All-Sun Belt Conference: Texas State women's golf continued to shine in the Sun Belt Conference as four Bobcats earned All-Sun Belt honors, highlighted by freshman
Grace Quintanilla being named the SBC Freshman of the Year. Quintanilla and
Yvonne Chamness were selected to the All-Sun Belt Conference First Team, while
Fia Lindblom and
Briana LeMaire earned second and third team recognition, respectively.

Won consecutive titles on the Finnish Junior Tour in 2024 and earned medalist honors at the Finnish Junior Match Play U18 Championship… Won the Finnish Stroke Play Championship.
London Fowlkes… Played at Grand Oaks High School where she received Golfer of the Year and Freshman of the Year accolades during her career… Won back-to-back individual UIL District 13-6A titles and helped Grand Oaks secure consecutive team district championships. Named top Houston high school female golfer for the 2025–2026 season… Competed on the Southern Texas PGA (STPGA) Prestige Tour, earning multiple victories including the CSTAT Challenge and Prestige Tour Open… Played in prominent events like the Mack Champ Invitational and LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Championship.
