GREENWOOD, Indiana – Texas State women's golfer Yvonne Chamness has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team, recognizing her excellence both on the course and in the classroom during the 2025-26 season.

A management major, Chamness capped off a standout season by earning a berth as an individual qualifier to the 2026 NCAA Waco Regional and collecting First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference honors. She was also named Sun Belt Conference Golfer of the Week three times during the year, earning the award on Sept. 11, 2025, Oct. 9, 2025 and Feb. 19, 2026.

The CSC Academic All-District program honors student-athletes who excel academically and athletically. To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, compete in at least 70 percent of their institution's scoring events or participate in the conference championship lineup, and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

Chamness appeared in the lineup for all 11 team tournaments with a 72.8 adjusted scoring average. She paced the team with 10 rounds in the 60s and tied for the team lead with 17 rounds at even par or better. Her season included four eagles, 106 birdies and 30 of 33 team rounds counting.

She recorded three top-three finishes and six top-25 performances during the season while posting a career-low round of 67.
