KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Texas State junior Helen Alormenu was named to the United Soccer Coaches Midfielders to Watch list, the organization announced Friday. Alormenu is one of three Pac-12 Conference players selected and nationally recognized as one of the top impact players in the country.

The Players to Watch list announced by United Soccer Coaches are compiled and released by position and selected by the Division I All-America committees to promote college soccer leading up to the regular season. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and All-Region players from 2025 who are scheduled to return for the 2026 season.

The Accra, Ghana native was named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team, alongside selections to First Team All-Conference and All-Conference Tournament Team honors. The junior started all 19 matches and scored five goals paired with a team-leading 16 points in her 2025 campaign across 1,501 minutes on the pitch. She enters her third season in a Bobcat uniform in 2026.

Alormenu joins teammate Victoria Meza, who was selected to the Defenders to Watch list earlier this week. The final positional list leaves Forwards, the organization is set to release on Monday, August 10.

These positional announcements pave the way for the release of the 2026 watch lists for the prestigious Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann trophy, which will be announced on the opening date of the regular season (August 13). Awarded annually by the Missouri Athletic Club, the MAC Hermann Trophy recognizes the Division I National Players of the Year, as voted on by Division I college coaches at the end of the regular season. The 2026 winners will be honored on January 7, 2027, in St. Louis, Missouri.
