SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
- Despite Bobcat keeper Caitlyn Draper's conference-best 62 saves, the Bobcats have yet to find the win column in conference play as they host the Rams on their first Friday night match of the 2026 campaign.
- Recent results include dropping a ranked-vs-ranked matchup at No. 19 Utah State, a second loss hosting San Diego State, and a 3-3 draw at Oregon State last time out. The three matches cover the Bobcats Pac-12 slate to this point.
- Redshirt senior Nina Norshie did not waste any time at Oregon State and struck for a pair of goals inside the first 10 minutes of play, good for the fourth Bobcat brace of the season. Jenny Ngankem deposited a perfectly placed ball across the 18-yard box from a set piece, allowing Norshie to one-touch into the net in the 7th minute. Matsuri Tsutsui dished a corner kick in just two minutes later, and a similar strike from Norshie secured a quick brace for an early Bobcat lead. Tsutsui's team-best sixth assist puts her one shy of the conference lead.
SCOUTING THE RAMS
- The Rams bring a 3-9-2 overall record into the match in San Marcos, with its lone non-conference victory versus Denver by a 1-0 final score.
- Colorado State has grabbed a pair of Pac-12 wins since the start of conference play, with the victory at Fresno State (W, 2-1) and hosting Gonzaga (W, 1-0).The .500 conference mark also shows a pair of losses, issued by No. 19 Utah State (L, 3-0) and San Diego State (L, 3-1).
- The Rams return home to host Boise State following the match with the Bobcats.
ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY
- Friday night marks the second match in history between the two programs. The most recent meeting was also set in San Marcos, where the match resulted in a 2-1 Rams victory on Aug. 29, 2024. Colorado State is the only new Pac-12 Conference program Coach Holeman has faced prior to the inaugural Pac-12 season, during his tenure as a Bobcat.
BETWEEN THE PIPES
- Pac-12 Conference saves leaders are that of the Beavers and Bobcats keepers, where Caitlyn Draper is tied with Libby Brooker from Oregon State (62). Just behind the leaders is Colorado State's Addison Huber, who enters the match in San Marcos just one behind at 61.
