SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
- A Bobcat team that just set a program record in assists a year ago (45) continued the trend in 2026 and currently ranks second as a team in the Pac-12 with 29. The Bobcats also rank third in the conference in total goals (29) and total points (87).
- In their first-ever ranked-versus-ranked matchup, the Bobcats dropped their Pac-12 Conference opener by a 2-1 final score at No. 19 Utah State, who was in its third consecutive week in the national rankings. San Diego State made its first-ever visit to San Marcos and left with a victory by a score of 1-0, despite Bobcat keeper Caitlyn Draper's single-match program record 14 saves.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
- The Beavers (1-9-3) have fallen short to this point in the 2026 campaign with their lone win over NAIA member Bushnell University. Three positive marks have been draws with Utah, LMU and most recently San Diego State, after Oregon State dropped its Pac-12 opener at Washington State by a 3-1 final score.
- Following a 6-save performance in the Beavers' 2-2 draw with the Aztecs, keeper Libby Brooker passed Bobcats' Caitlyn Draper in the lead for saves in the conference.
- The Beavers will make a trip to Boise to take on the conference-leading Broncos next Saturday, Oct. 17, following the match with the Bobcats.
ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY
- Sunday's match marks the first-ever meeting between the two programs. Texas State has never traveled to or met on the pitch with a team from Oregon in history.
DRAPER DEFENSE
- Caitlyn Draper's third-career 11-save performance came at No. 19 Utah State, while her last 11-save night was at then-No. 13 Oklahoma State, setting up a clean sheet in the scoreless draw on Sept. 5, 2024.
- In the same week, Draper posted the program record for saves in a single match with 14 versus San Diego State (10/4/26). The combination between the two matches of 25 saves is the most over the course of a week (2 matches) in the country this season.
- Draper enters the match at Oregon State at 178 career saves, creeping closer to the 200 mark. Upon reaching the milestone of 200 career saves, Draper will be just the fourth keeper in Bobcat history to do so.
BEAVERS AND BOBCATS: BETWEEN THE PIPES
- Pac-12 Conference saves leaders are that of the Beavers and Bobcats keepers, where Libby Brooker is in the conference lead (60 saves) but not much ahead of Bobcats' Caitlyn Draper (56). Draper brings in an .800 save percentage compared to Brooker's .723.
