SAN MARCOS, Texas - Texas State returners Helen Alormenu and Jenny Ngankem earned offensive and defensive Pac-12 Player of the Week honors respectively, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Alormenu garnered Offensive Player of the Week after playing 70 minutes in the victory over Texas A&M before netting her second career brace Sunday night at No. 6 Baylor. Her two goals proved to be the difference in the 3-1 victory, securing the program's first-ever win over a ranked opponent.

Junior Ava Kooker dished a perfect pass crossing the box allowing Alormenu to one-touch and find the net in the 56th minute to put the Bobcats ahead. Alormenu doubled the advantage in the 72nd minute, perfectly placing a long-range strike from roughly 57 yards out, over the head of the Baylor goalkeeper to seal the 3-1 victory over the Bears.

Jenny Ngankem, Defensive Player of the Week recipient, shined in the two victories over the Power 4 programs. The Paris, France native not only recorded a goal and assist versus Texas A&M, but defended a solid back line that was outshot in both contests including eight corner attempts at then-No. 6 Baylor.

Ngankem assisted the first of senior Victoria Meza's two goals in the 22nd minute that leveled the contest at one versus the Aggies on Wednesday night. With the Bobcats trailing 2-1 into the 79th minute, Ngankem evened the score at two when a corner kick from Brooke Martinez allowed the junior to spin and score a world-class volley from just inside the top of the box and slung the ball inside the right post.

Alormenu has been nominated for National Player of the Week where voting closes Wednesday, while Ngankem's highlight-reel goal is up for Goal of the Week by the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization.
