SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State men's basketball head coach Terrence Johnson announced the signing of Kole Grandison to the program for the 2026-27 season on Thursday.
"We're excited about Kole. His size, athleticism, skill and basketball IQ positions him to make an immediate impact in the new Pac-12," said Johnson. "He has the ability to play multiple positions and gives us legitimate size on the wing and in the backcourt. We are thrilled to have him as part of our program.
Grandison graduated from Overtime Elite in Atlanta, Georgia. He competed for two seasons with the City Reapers that saw him average 12.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. He also made 41.9% from the field, 37.0% of his attempts from beyond the arc and converted 75.0% at the free throw line.
The 6-foot, 6-inch forward attended Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair, New Jersey his freshman and sophomore years. He was rated as a three-star prospect and the 11th best player in The Garden State for the class of 2026 by ESPN.
A native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Grandison was a member of the Canadian Under-17 team at the 2024 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup that was held in Türkiye. He averaged 6.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists over the seven contests. Twice he scored 11 points in contests against Australia and Spain.
