FORT WORTH, Texas - Texas State men's basketball will face North Texas in the USLBM Coast to Coast Challenge presented by Visit Fort Worth on Sunday, Dec. 13 at Dickies Arena, announced by Total Sports Consulting on Monday.

The event will tip off with Texas Tech facing Southern California, followed by the Bobcats and Mean Green. Game time and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.

"We are extremely excited for the opportunity to be part of the USLBM Coast to Coast Challenge," shared associate head coach Bennie Seltzer. "This is a first-class event that gives our program an opportunity to compete on a national stage against high-level competition. These are the types of games that challenge you, prepare you and bring out the best in your team. For our players, this will be a great experience to represent Texas State and showcase the growth of our program. We know the atmosphere and level of competition will be outstanding, and we are looking forward to embracing the challenge."

In-state foes in Texas State and North Texas have matched-up just four times since 2006. The most recent meeting in 2022 resulted in a Mean Green victory in the opening round of the NIT, 67-63 in overtime.

Entering its inaugural season in the Pac-12 Conference, Texas State is coming off a 19-13 overall record and an 11-win conference campaign a season ago, while posting a program-record 16 wins at Strahan Arena.The American Conference's Mean Green, meanwhile, posted a 19-14 record and went 9-9 in conference play during the 2025-26 season.

Tickets for the 2026 USLBM Coast to Coast Challenge Presented by Visit Fort Worth will go on sale Thursday, September 3 at 10:00 a.m. CT through Ticketmaster.com and the Dickies Arena Box Office.  Fans can purchase tickets early via Ticketmaster.com on Tuesday, September 1st 10am through Wednesday, September 2nd 10pm with unlock code:  DICKIES.  Fans interested in a custom premium experience with discounted tickets for a group of 9 or more, can reach out to GroupSales@DickiesArena.com.
