SAN MARCOS, Texas – On Wednesday, Texas State soccer head coach and the Pac-12 Conference announced the schedule for the 2026 season. It features 18 matches with 10 contests at the Bobcat Soccer Complex of which four will be against Pac-12 opponents.

For the second straight year, the Bobcats will travel to Querétaro, Mexico for training camp at Texas State's Mexico campus and play an exhibition against the school's team on Aug. 5. TXST will also play at Abilene Christian three days later for another exhibition.

The 2026 season will officially kickoff on Aug. 12 when the team travels down I-35 to take on UTSA. Opening weekend wraps up with the first home match of the campaign four days later against UTRGV, the first of six first-time opponents on the slate.

On Aug. 19, Texas State will welcome Texas A&M to town. It will be the first time hosting the Aggies and just the second time taking on a Southeastern Conference program in San Marcos. That Sunday will see a rematch of an NCAA Tournament first round contest when the Bobcats travel up I-35 to face Baylor.

Texas State will play the first of three straight home matches beginning on Aug. 27 against East Texas A&M. The Bobcats will also host Texas Southern and Rice on Aug. 30 and Sept. 3, respectively.

A weekend road trip against Sun Belt Conference teams follows the next week. First up will be a meeting against Louisiana on Sept. 10. TXST will then take on Louisiana Tech, the newest member of the league, three days later.

The final home non-conference match sees the Bobcats face Santa Clara, a team that has made 34 NCAA Tournament and won national titles in 2001 and 2020. The contest will be the first-ever meeting between the teams.

October kicks off Pac-12 play with the inaugural match in the conference for Texas State seeing the team travel to take on Utah State on the first of the month. The first-ever Pac-12 match in San Marcos takes place on Oct. 4 against San Diego State.

Texas State follows with its first-ever trip to Oregon State on Oct. 11. The Bobcats then return to the Bobcat Soccer Complex for consecutive contests. The first takes place Oct. 16 against Colorado State with the second match being six days later in a first-ever meeting with Gonzaga.

After a road match at Washington State on Oct. 25, TXST plays its final home match of the regular season the day before Halloween against Boise State. The regular season wraps up on Nov. 5 at Fresno State for the program's first trip to The Golden State since 2012.

The top four teams in the conference standings will qualify for the inaugural Pac-12 Championship with the semifinals occurring on either Nov. 11 or 12 and the final happening that weekend (Nov. 14 or 15). The tournament will be hosted by the Pac-12 team that has the highest non-conference RPI.
