SAN MARCOS, Texas – The final road series for Texas State (28-21, 10-14 Sun Belt) as a Sun Belt Conference member will see the team travel to face Arkansas State (28-19, 11-13 Sun Belt) this weekend. Both Friday's and Saturday's contests are scheduled to start at 6 p.m. and the finale on Sunday will see first pitch at 11 a.m.

ABOUT TEXAS STATE
The Bobcats snapped a four-game losing streak on Tuesday with a win over Baylor. The contest also wrapped up a five-game homestand. Heading into the weekend, TXST has lost its last four conference series that included being swept by South Alabama and Southern Miss. The Bobcats are 7-11 away from San Marcos this season with a 4-11 mark in true road games.

Rashawn Galloway leads the team with a .341 batting average, 71 hits, 23 doubles and three triples. The senior has also recorded 44 runs, 42 RBI and 10 home runs. He is one of a program record tying five players to have hit double-digit homers this season led by
Jaquae Stewart (49 RBI) with 14.
Dawson Park (.301, 52 RBI) has hit 13 round trippers,
Jackson Cotton has smacked 12 long balls and
Manny Salas (.313, 42 R, 33 RBI) has left the yard 10 times.

Slated to start on Friday is
Wade Cooper, who comes in with a 4-3 record, five saves, 4.50 RA and 46 strikeouts in 42.0 innings.
Cade Smith will get the ball on Saturday and sports a 3-2 record, 3.70 ERA and 32 punch outs in 48.2 innings. Sunday's starter is still to be announced.

ABOUT ARKANSAS STATE
The Red Wolves are coming off a midweek win at Little Rock on Tuesday that saw Ckyler Tengler throw a no-hitter. They have dropped their last two weekend series against Louisiana and at Old Dominion. ASU is 16-7 at home with a 5-7 record in Sun Belt action. This weekend is the team's final home games of the season.

Ashton Quiller leads the squad with a .316 batting average, 60 hits, 40 runs and 16 stolen bases. He has also hit 13 doubles, six home runs and driven in 27 runs. Only other player hitting over .300 is Cason Campbell at .305 behind a team leading 14 doubles while also hitting seven homers and plating 29 runs. Derek Martinez (.298, 31 RBI) leads the Red Wolves with 13 home runs and Lane Walton has left the yard 11 times and is second with 43 RBI, one behind team leader Evan Griffis.

Scheduled to take the mound on Friday is Tyler Weimer. The right-hander is 4-1 with two saves, a 2.59 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 48.2 innings spanning 18 appearances with just one previous start. Fellow right-hander Andrew Allen will get the ball on Saturday and enters with a 1-4 record, 42 punch outs and a 5.50 ERA. Rounding out the rotation will be Dylan Farley. The lefty is 7-1 with 2.78 ERA and 30 punch outs over 55.0 innings in 12 starts.

SERIES VS. RED WOLVES
Texas State leads the all-time series 20-17 and has won the last four meetings after sweeping the series last season in San Marcos. Over the last 18 games, the Bobcats have won 14 of them.

When playing on the road, TXST is 7-8 all-time. Five of the six series in Jonesboro have been won by Arkansas State. Only time Texas State won an away series was in 2002 when the team swept the weekend.
