SAN MARCOS, Texas – The homestand at Irvine-Rasmussen Ballpark for Texas State (23-10, 8-4 Sun Belt) continues this weekend with a three-game series against Troy (16-17, 6-6 Sun Belt). Friday's opener is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start followed by a 2:30 p.m. first pitch on Saturday. The finale on Sunday is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
All three contests will be streamed on ESPN+ and live stats will be available.

ABOUT TEXAS STATE
The Bobcats are 4-1 through the first five games of the current nine-game homestand. Most recently they are coming off midweeks wins over 18th-ranked Texas A&M and SFA on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Texas State is 17-4 at home this season with the win total already surpassing last year's mark.
Rashawn Galloway heads into the weekend hitting .379 with a team-high 53 hits, 16 doubles and three triples. He has driven in and scored 33 runs while also hitting six home runs.
A trio of Bobcats have left the yard at least 10 times this season led by
Jackson Cotton (37 R) and
Dawson Park (42 RBI) with 11 each.
Manny Salas (.345 AVG, 31 RBI) is the third player having smacked 10 homers. Both
Ethan Farris and
Jaquae Stewart have eight home runs apiece. Farris' total has come in just 15 games that has also seen him post a .407 average, 24 RBI, 18 runs, six doubles and a 1.452 OPS.
Kyle Froehlich is scheduled to start on Friday and heads into the game with a 3-1 record, 5.40 ERA and staff-high 40 strikeouts while walking just three.
Sam Hall will be called upon on Saturday. The right-hander is 1-0 with a 4.98 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 21.2 innings. Rounding out the rotation will be
Jesus Tovar. The lefty sports a 6-1 record, 3.66 ERA, 38 punch outs and is liming opponents to a .212 batting average.
ABOUT TROY
The Trojans have won two straight games after defeating Florida A&M on Wednesday and claiming the series finale against Arkansas State. They have won both of their home Sun Belt series while dropping the two weekends on the road at Georgia Southern and Southern Miss. On the road, Troy is 7-11 with a 6-10 mark in true road games.
Drew Nelson leads the team with a .330 average. Right behind him at .325 is Jimmy Janicki, who paces the team with eight homers and 38 RBI. Josh Pyne has recorded a team-high 11 doubles while hitting .317. The fourth player with an average over .300 is Aaron Piasecki at .311.
Slated to start on Friday is left-hander Benjamin Stubbs. He is 3-0 with a 3.30 ERA and 44 strikeouts over 46.1 innings spanning eight starts. Tommy Egan will get the ball on Saturday and sports a 3-1 record, 4.65 ERA and team-high 55 strikeouts. Sunday's starter is to be announced.
SERIES VS. TROJANS
Troy leads the all-time series 19-12 after winning three of the four meetings last season. The Trojans claimed the regular season series at home and then eliminated Texas State from the Sun Belt Tournament by a score of 4-2.
At home, the Bobcats are 8-5 all-time. They have won two of the four previous series in San Marcos with the most recent being in 2024. TXST's lone sweep came in the first-ever meeting in 2014 at home.
