SAN MARCOS, Texas – A five-game homestand for Texas State (27-17) begins on Tuesday when it takes on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (21-22). First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. from Irvine-Rasmussen Ballpark.

The Bobcats ended this past weekend with a 10-6 win over ninth-ranked Coastal Carolina in Sunday's series finale. It was the team's fifth win over a ranked opponent this season and first to come on the road. TXST is 6-4 in midweek games with a 6-1 record at home.
Rashawn Galloway comes into the game hitting .339 with a team-high 63 hits of which 21 doubles. His two-bag total is tied for the most in a season ever by a Texas State player. The senior has also scored 39 runs, driven in 36 and hit seven home runs.
Both
Dawson Park and
Jaquae Stewart have hit a team leading 13 homers. Four of the long balls courtesy of Stewart have been grand slams, the most ever by a Bobcat in a campaign. Park paces the squad with 52 RBI and Stewart is second with 46 RBI. Also hitting double-digit homers has been
Jackson Cotton (42 R, 30 RBI, 11 SB) and
Manny Salas (41 R, 32 RBI, 12 2B) with 12 and 10, respectively.
Slated to make his fourth start of the season on the rubber is
Titan Targac. The left-hander is 1-3 with one save, a 5.87 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 23.0 innings spanning 13 games.
ABOUT TEXAS A&M-CORPUS CHRISTI
The Islanders come into Tuesday on a five-game winning streak that included a sweep of UIW and winning the last two contests against McNeese. AMCC is 4-5 in midweek games and 1-4 when playing those contests on the road.
Cade Sanchez paces the team with a .367 average, 27 RBI and 26 runs. His four homers and 10 doubles are tied for the most on the squad. Both Jarrett Flaggert (.299, 26 RBI) and Jackson Smith (.314, 25 RBI) also match Sanchez in long ball and double totals. Christian Smith-Johnson comes in going 17-for-20 stealing bases.
The Islander's starting pitcher is still to be announced.
SERIES VS. ISLANDERS
Texas State leads the all-time series 32-11. Two of the last three meetings, all taking place in San Marcos, have ended in Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's favor including a 6-5 contest on Mar. 5, 2024. The Bobcats' last win in the series was a 7-5 game on Mar. 21, 2023. When playing at home, TXST is 18-6 all-time.
