SAN MARCOS, Texas – Tuesday night will be the return trip for Texas State (19-8) to Austin to take on No. 2 ranked Texas (23-4). First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. from UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

The Bobcats come into Tuesday's contest on a seven-game winning streak. It is the longest for the team since the 2022 season when that squad recorded three winnings streaks of eight or more games. The latest one in that season was an 11-game streak from May 3-27, 2022.
Rashawn Galloway enters Tuesday riding a 20-game hitting streak. During that span, the senior is hitting .476 (40-for-84) with 24 RBI, 22 runs, 12 doubles and three home runs. He has recorded multiple hits in 14 of those contests. For the season, Galloway is batting .398 with 13 doubles while driving in 29 runs and scoring 28 times.
Both
Jackson Cotton and
Dawson Park have hit a team-high nine home runs. Park paces the team with 35 RBI and Cotton has swiped a team best nine bases. Leaving the yard six times has been
Manny Salas while both
Ethan Farris (.382, 13 RBI) and
Jaquae Stewart (19 RBI) have hit five long balls each.
Scheduled to make his first start of the season is
Ryan Markwardt. The left-hander has made two appearances with the most recent coming on Mar. 5 against Washington State.

The Longhorns are coming off a sweep at home over Red River Rival Oklahoma. They are 4-2 in midweek games this season that saw the team win the first four before dropping contests at Houston and to Tarleton State the last two weeks. At home, UT is 17-2 on the season.
Aiden Robbins comes in leading the squad in hitting (.370), hits (40) and triples (2). He shares the team lead of nine homers and 30 runs while ranking second with 29 RBI and seven steals. Casey Borba has also hit nine long balls and driven in a squad best 31 runs.
Others leaving the yard multiple times have been Temo Becerra (5 HR, 24 RBI), Josh Livingston (2 HR, 10 RBI), Ethan Mendoza (5 HR, 24 RBI), Anthony Pack, Jr. (4 HR, 25 RBI) and Carson Tinney (7 HR, 20 RBI).
Slated to start on the rubber is Max Grubbs. The right-hander is 2-0 with a 4.08 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 17.2 innings spanning 11 relief outings.
SERIES VS. LONGHORNS
Texas leads the all-time series 58-17 after winning the first meeting this season 15-4 in San Marcos back on Mar. 10. Since the start of the 2022 season, the teams have split the 10 meetings between them.
When playing in Austin, Texas State is 14-44 all-time but has won the last four such contests. The four-game winning streak in the state's capital city is tied for the longest in program history. Last season saw the Bobcats win 5-3 behind a four-run eighth inning that was capped off by a two-run home run from
Ian Collier.
