SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State (3-2-2) opens its final season of Sun Belt Conference play on Saturday when it travels to take on ULM (5-2-0). Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Brown Stadium.

About Texas State
The Bobcats closed out non-conference play with a draw against then 19th-ranked Oklahoma and a loss to Arizona State at home. Texas State sports one of the top scoring offenses in the nation having recorded 23 goals and been credited with 22 assists to rank tied for ninth in the nation in both categories.
Both
Constance Agyemang and
Katrin Agustsdottir have recorded a team-high four goals.
Helen Alormenu has chipped in three tallies and
Sadie Guzman has found the back of the net twice. Overall, 13 different Bobcats have scored a goal this season that is the third most in the nation alongside Louisville and behind Houston (14) and Indiana State (14).
The trio of
Lilah Dupree,
Chloe Jones and
Matsuri Tsutsui have been credited with a team best three assists. Jones has 12 assists in her career and is one of shy of cracking the program's top 10 list.
Brooklyn Escobar has started all seven matches in goal. She enters Saturday with a 2.03 GAA and has made 24 saves with a .667 save percentage.
About ULM
The Warhawks closed out its non-conference slate with three consecutive wins at home over Little Rock, North Texas and Southern. At home, they are 4-0-0, which includes a season opening victory over Southeastern Louisiana. ULM also plays its first two Sun Belt contests in Monroe.
Skylar Blaise leads the team in goals (4), points (8), match-winning goals (2), shots (19) and shots on goal (12). A quartet has netted two goals apiece including Libby Holmes, who is the reigning Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week. USC Upstate transfer Margret Edda Bjarnadottir paces the squad with four assists.
Between the posts, Jen Hardy has started six matches and comes in with a 1.98 GAA with 10 goals allowed. She has made 11 saves for a .524 save percentage and has recorded two shutouts. Making one start in goal has been Maddox Dolly, who has faced just four shots in 129:31 minutes with none being on frame.
Series History
Texas State leads the all-time series 18-8-1 while the teams have split the last four meetings. Last season, the Bobcats won 3-2 in San Marcos with the match-winning goal coming with nearly seven minutes left on the clock courtesy of
Victoria Meza.
When playing in Monroe, TXST is 8-4-0 all-time. The most recent matchup saw ULM win 5-0 on Oct. 8, 2023. The Bobcats' last win on the road was a 2-1 contest on Oct. 2, 2020.
