SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State women's tennis earned the No. 3 seed in the Sun Belt Conference Women's Tennis Championship Tournament, the conference announced on Saturday.
The Bobcats earned their highest SBC Tournament seed in history after finishing the year 16-5 overall and 7-3 in conference play.
Texas State is set to face the six-seed Marshall in the Quarterfinal round of the conference tournament, which will mark the fifth-straight season the Bobcats have played in the second round of the SBC Championship tournament.
The matchup versus the No. 66 nationally ranked Thundering Herd will begin at 1 p.m. CT on Friday, April 25 in Rome, Georgia at the Rome Tennis Center.
The Sun Belt Women's Tennis Championship Tournament will run from April 24-27 and will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
