SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State women's tennis is set to compete at the ITA Texas Regional in Fort Worth, Texas, hosted by TCU. The tournament runs from Thursday, Oct. 9, to Tuesday, Oct. 14.
The Bobcats are facing a quick turnaround as they just wrapped up their first home fall tournament, the River State Shoot-Out, this past Sunday. A recap of the River State Shoot-Out can be found here.
Women's tennis head coach Kendall Brooks is sending four players to this year's ITA Texas Regional: Charlotte Roesch, Tadiwa Mauchi, Emily Niers and Ireland Simme.
Simme will be the lone Bobcat to start in the singles round of 64 main draw this season, which begins Friday, Oct. 10.
Roesch, Mauchi and Niers will look to play their way into the main draw through the qualifying rounds starting Thursday, Oct. 9, at 8 a.m.
All four Bobcats will compete in the main draw of doubles, which begins Friday, Oct. 10.
Every Division I women's tennis team in Texas will compete at the Texas Regional: Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Texas State, North Texas, SMU, Incarnate Word, Houston, UTRGV, Rice, UTSA, UTA, SFA, Tarleton State, ACU, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Sam Houston State.
