SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State's
Helen Alormenu and
Victoria Meza were named to a United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Team. Meza was a second team selection and Alormenu was chosen to the third team.
Â
Meza earned her second all-region honor after being named to the third team last season. She is just the second Bobcat to receive multiple all-region accolades with the first being Kaylee Davis in 2018 and 2019.
Â
The El Salvadorian ended the 2025 campaign with four goals and three assists in 1,395 minutes over 16 matches. Beginning the season as a midfielder, she shifted to the backline and helped Texas State record seven shutouts including back-to-back contests in the semifinals and finals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
Â
Meza was named to the all-conference first team after being chosen as the league's preseason midfielder of the year. Her performance in Foley, Alabama, which included scoring a goal in the quarterfinals versus James Madison, saw her be selected as the Sun Belt Tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
Â
Alormenu finished second on the team with five goals and six assists while pacing the squad with 16 points and 44 shot attempts. She was picked to the All-Sun Belt First Team that saw her score two match-tying goals and assist on two match-winners during conference play.
Â
The Ghanian tallied two assists during the conference tournament on her way to being named to the all-tournament team. Her first came on Meza's opening goal in the quarterfinals against the Dukes. Alormenu would record her second in the championship match versus ULM on
Sadie Guzman's lone goal of the match.
