SAN MARCOS, Texas – Saturday at the Foley Sports Complex will see No. 4 Texas State (9-3-7) take on No. 3 ULM (13-2-4) in the Sun Belt Conference Championship title match that is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff. It marks the second straight year that the Bobcats are in the finals of the conference tournament.

The Bobcats battled to a 1-0 victory over top-seeded South Alabama on Wednesday in the semifinals.
Kennley Bradley scored the lone goal of the contest early in the 60th minute off an assist from
Chloe Jones.

Mady Soumare has scored a team-high six goals while adding three assists. She had been efficient in her shot taking with 22 of her 28 attempts being on frame (.786). The Ghanan duo of
Constance Agyemang and
Helen Alormenu have scored five goals apiece.
Victoria Meza has recorded four goals and three assists this season after netting the lone goal for the Bobcats in regulation in the quarterfinals against James Madison.

Pacing the team with seven assists is
Matsuri Tsutsui, who has also tacked on two goals. Her assist total is the most by a Bobcat since 2013 and is the second most ever by a freshman in team history. Second on the team with six assists is Jones. Five assists have been credited to Alormenu while
Alexis Montgomery enters the contest with four.

Brooklyn Escobar has started 18 matches in goal. She sports a 1.07 GAA, 53 saves and a .757 save percentage. Her five shutouts are tied for the second most ever by a Bobcat freshman goalkeeper.
Maude Rouanet has appeared in six matches and made her first start of the season on Monday. The graduate transfer has a 1.77 GAA with 18 saves and a .750 save percentage for the season.

The Warhawks defeated Marshall (1-0) in the quarterfinals and Old Dominion (3-2) in the semifinals to reach their first-ever Sun Belt championship match. The regular season champions enter the contest on a 15-match unbeaten streak with their last loss coming at UAB by a 5-0 score on Aug. 24.

Skylar Blaise, the Sun Belt's Player of the Year, leads the squad with 14 goals, 31 points, 59 shots, 33 shots on goal and four match-winning tallies. Defender Libby Holmes has added five goals and four assists while the duo of Giulia Franco and Ava Goodman have found the back of the four times each. Pacing the team with nine assists is midfielder Margret Edda Bjarnadottir.

Between the posts, Jen Handy has started 18 matches. She sports a 1.35 GAA with 45 saves, a .662 save percentage and five shutouts.

Series History
Texas State leads the all-time series 18-8-2. The teams have split the last five meetings with two victories apiece and one draw, which came in this year's regular season match. In the 1-1 draw, Meza scored the match-tying goal five minutes into the second half and the Bobcats had chances to put the match away with a missed penalty kick and two goal denials by Handy in the last two minutes of the contest.

Saturday will be just the second time that the Bobcats and Warhawks have played each other in a conference tournament. The only previous matchup was in the Southland Conference Tournament finals with TXST winning 1-0 in overtime on Nov. 7, 2004.
