Bobcats Close Out Season at NCAA South Central Regional

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas — Texas State closed its 2025 cross country season on Friday at the NCAA Division I South Central Regional.

The women's team placed 15th with 374 points in a field led by Texas A&M, LSU and Tulane. The men finished 16th with 435 points in a field paced by Tulane, Arkansas and Texas A&M.

The women's team was led by junior Alexia Tiscareno Macias, who finished 38th in the women's 6K in 21:31.1. Senior Abigail Parra placed 48th in 21:50.6, giving the Bobcats two top-50 finishers.

Nyomi Garcia crossed 68th in 22:16.6, followed by Kimberely Gloria in 117th (23:06.8), Destiney Rose in 133rd (23:20.6), Rabecca Davila in 137th (23:31.1) and Sanai Robinson in 153rd (24:01.7).

In the men's 10K, senior Henok Hagos led the Bobcats with a 44th-place finish in 31:36.9. Jack Deelman placed 69th in 32:07.3, and Anthony Parra finished 85th in 32:34.0.

Rounding out the scoring were David Mendez-Serrato (136th, 33:51.2), Elias Palmer (139th, 34:00.3), Eyan Calico (146th, 34:36.1) and Anthony Sandoval (153rd, 35:06.7).

The meet officially closed the Bobcats' 2025 cross country campaign, which featured multiple all-conference honors.

Texas State will open the track and field season on Jan. 23 at the Ted Nelson Invitational in College Station, Texas.
