Bobcats Head to Foley for 2025 Sun Belt Cross Country Championships

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State cross country is gearing up for the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championships this Friday in Foley, Ala.

The Sun Belt championship will take place at the Graham Creek Nature Preserve. The women's 5K race will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by the men's 8K at 9:15 a.m.

This will be the Bobcats' final appearance in the Sun Belt Cross Country Championships before joining the Pac-12 in July 2026.

The women's lineup for the 5k race includes Rebecca Davila, Nyomi Garcia, Kimberly Gloria, Alexia Tiscareno Macias, Abigail Parra, Sofia Pena, Sanai Robinson and Destiney Rose.

The men's team for the 8k race will feature Eyan Calico, Jack Deelman, Henok Hagos, David Herring, David Mendez-Serrato, Elias Palmer, Anthony Parra and Anthony Sandoval.

Both the Texas State women's and men's teams finished fifth at the 2024 Sun Belt Championships.

The women scored 130 points in the 5K with an average time of 18 minutes, 32 seconds, while the men tallied 119 points in the 8K with an average of 25:57.
