Brooks Signs Contract Extension Through 2030

SAN MARCOS, Texas— Texas State women's tennis head coach Kendall Brooks has signed a contract extension that will keep her leading the Bobcats through the 2030 season.

Brooks earns the extension after guiding Texas State to consecutive winning seasons while continuing to elevate the program both competitively and academically.

Since taking over as head coach in 2022, Brooks has overseen one of the most successful stretches in program history. In 2025, the Bobcats posted a 16-5 overall record and a 7-3 mark in Sun Belt Conference play, setting program records for both overall wins and conference victories in a single season.

Texas State also earned its highest-ever Sun Belt Championship seed (No. 3) and tied a school record with nine consecutive victories.

The success continued during the 2025-26 campaign as the Bobcats finished 13-7 overall, remained undefeated at home and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference Championship.

Under Brooks' leadership, Texas State has produced multiple All-Sun Belt selections, conference weekly award winners and CSC Academic All-District honorees. The program has also continued its tradition of academic excellence, earning ITA All-Academic Team recognition and numerous ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.

With the extension, Texas State Athletics reinforces its commitment to the continued growth and success of the women's tennis program under Brooks' leadership.
