Daniel Harrold and Dominick Yancy Earn USTFCCCA All-America Honors

Both Harrold and Yancy were named second team All-America

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Daniel Harrold and Dominick Yancy were named to the 2024 UTSFCCCA All-America Second Team after their performances at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships this past Friday.

Harrold and Yancy are the first male Bobcat pair to be named All-America for indoors since Aaron George and Darian Brown in 2015.

Harrold placed 14th with a time of 7.74 in the men's 60-meter hurdles at the NCAA Championships. He also became the first Bobcat in history to earn All-America honors for the 60-meter hurdles.

Harrold had a spectacular indoor season in the 60-meter hurdles.  Throughout the year, he recorded seven of the fastest times in school history in the event. His fastest time came at the Sun Belt Conference Championships in the finals, where he recorded a 7.62 and placed first. This time set the Texas State, Sun Belt Conference and the Sun Belt Conference meet record.

Yancy became the first Bobcat since Brain Veal (triple and long jump) in 2004 to earn All-America honors in two events. Yancy placed 10th in the men's 200 meters with a time of 20.80 and 14th in the 400 meters with a time of 46.62.

Earlier in the season Yancy set the school record in the men's 400 meters with a time of 45.85, which qualified him for Nationals in the event. He also placed first in both the 200 meters and 4x400-meter relay with time of 20.93 and 3:10.70.

Harrold and Yancy now set their eyes on the outdoor season. The pair is off this week as the Bobcats distance and field squads head to San Antonio for the UTSA Invitational.
