Preddie Earns Second Team All-American Honors

Chris Preddie placed 14th in the men's long jump with a mark of 7.62m

EUGENE, Ore. – On the first day of the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Texas State's Chris Preddie earned second Team All-American honors in the men's long jump.

Preddie marked a jump of 7.62m/25-0 and finished in 14th place to earn his second All-American honor in his career. He previously earned the honor in 2023 when he placed 14th in the event at the Outdoor Championships.

Preddie will return to pit on Friday when he competes in the men's triple jump.

Next up for the Bobcats are Lara Roberts and Melanie Duron. Roberts competes in the women's hammer throw at 3:30 PM CT, while Duron competes in the shot put at 8:10 PM CT
