SAN MARCOS, Texas – The final road game of the regular season takes place on Saturday for the Texas State men's basketball team (11-17, 4-11 Sun Belt). Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. against Georgia State (13-14, 7-8 Sun Belt) inside the GSU Convocation Center.

About Texas State
The Bobcats are looking to snap a three-game winless streak and claim their second road win of conference play. The only such victory came on Jan. 13 at ULM.
Since
Davion Sykes entered the starting lineup at the beginning of the month, he has been a force to deal with for opposing teams. The sophomore is averaging 12.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game while going 34-for-66 (51.5%) from the floor in that time.
Overall,
Jordan Mason continues to lead the team at 12.5 ppg and making a team best 78.4% of his free throws. The sophomore is also first on the squad with 30 steals and second with 64 assists.
Brandon Love enters Saturday netting 10.5 ppg and grabbing 5.6 rpg. He has blocked 42 shots, which ranks fourth in the Sun Belt and is tied for the fifth most by a TXST player in a season.
Kaden Gumbs is dishing out 3.5 assists a contest, which ranks fifth in the conference. His 29 steals are second on the Bobcats while he is scoring 9.1 ppg.
Both
Coleton Benson and
Dylan Dawson are threats from beyond the arc. Benson has knocked down 28 three-pointers at a team-high 40.6% mark. Dawson is shooting 33.6% from deep with a team best 45 made triples.
About Georgia State
Entering Saturday, the Panthers have won two straight and four of their last five. Wednesday night saw them defeat Coastal Carolina at home 72-71 on a Toneari Lane three-pointer with 1.8 seconds on the clock. At home, GSU is 8-3 with a 4-2 mark against Sun Belt opponents.
Three players are putting up double-figures led by Lucas Taylor at 13.9 ppg. Lane come is averaging 13.0 ppg behind a team-high 76 made three-pointers at a team best 33.8%. Dwon Odom is scoring 11.8 ppg with a team best 53.0 FG% and 4.4 apg.
Jay'Den Turner is a threat on the boards as he enters retrieving 8.5 rpg. He also leads the team with 37 steals while scoring 9.5 ppg.
All-Time Series vs. Panthers
Georgia State leads the all-time series 11-7. The last two meetings have both gone in Texas State's favor including an 81-76 victory in the first round of last year's Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
When playing the Panthers in Atlanta, the Bobcats are 3-5 all-time. The last meeting was on Dec. 21, 2019 with GSU winning 81-69. TXST's last win in the Peach State's capital was an 81-68 contest on Jan. 24, 2019.
