SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State senior
Mya Ulloa was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Women's Team of the Week, the outlet announced Tuesday, after helping the Bobcats extend their unbeaten streak to 10 matches.
The midfielder recorded two goals and one assist in victories over Troy and ULM. She opened the scoring in the 2-1 win on the road versus the Trojans late in the 58th minute.
Ulloa would earn her assist on a free kick that
Kaylie Smith knocked home for the opening goal against the Warhawks. A converted penalty kick seven minutes into the second half by the Irving, Texas native extended the Bobcats' advantage in the eventual 3-2 victory on Sunday.
With her two goals, Ulloa now has four this season to set a new season career high. Her assist was the 13th in a Texas State uniform to move the midfielder into a tie for seventh in program history.
