Clark Finishes 5th in 800 on Final Day of Michael Johnson Invitational

Bobcats have one regular season meet left

WACO, Texas – Breanna Clark had a top-five finish in the women's 800 while Ebony Wolridge and Grady Leonard placed sixth in the women's and men's shot put, respectively, on Saturday in the final day of the Michael Johnson Invitational hosted by Baylor.
 
Clark ran 2:14.63 in the 800, which was her best time in the event this season, and led a group of three Bobcats in the race. Price Janecek had a PR with a time of 2:19.09.
 
Janecek's PR was one of two set by the Bobcats on Saturday. The other was by Daneille Lynch in the women's 400 meter with a time of 59.42.
 
Wolridge threw 15.04 meters/49-4.25 in the shot put, which was among the leaders in the event but also her third time of throwing over 49 feet in the shot put this season. Prior to this year, she only cleared 49 feet once in her career.
 
Wolridge was one of three Bobcats in the top-10 in the women's shot put as she was joined by Carly Watts (7th, 14.87 meters/48-9.5) and Lauryn Small (9th, 14.37 meters/47-1.75).
 
Leonard threw 18.13 meters/59-5.75 in the men's shot put for his sixth-place finish.
 
The Bobcats have one regular season meet left as they will compete in the Texas Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
