WACO, Texas – After the first day of competition at the ITA Texas Regional Championships,
Kiana Graham advanced to the singles round of 64 main draw.
Doubles
Callie Creath and
Sofia Fortuno fell 8-7 (7-3) to Helena Narmont and Yu-Chin Tsai from TCU. Texas State's second doubles team,
Kiana Graham and
Emily Niers lost their match 8-7 (7-4) to ACU's Andrea Guerrero and Masha Vrsalovic.
Singles
Kiana Graham won both of her matches today to advance to the round of 64 main draw. Graham began the day with a 6-3, 6-3 win and then defeated Elsa Boisson from Tarleton State 6-1, 7-6 (7-3).
Emily Niers won her first singles match 7-6 (7-5), 6-1, but lost her second match 6-3, 7-5 to Ksenia Mamontova from SFA.
Sofia Fortuno fell 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) to Ine Lamprecht from UIW.
