SAN MARCOS, Texas – For the second straight Sun Belt Conference match, Texas State (7-5-2, 2-2-2 SBC) will be on the road when it travels to take on James Madison (6-2-6, 3-0-3 SBC) Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT from Sentara Park.

About Texas State
The Bobcats are coming off their worst conference defeat since 2015 after falling on Sunday at ULM. They have won just once in their last five matches that has seen them draw twice and drop two contests. Currently, TXST is tied for ninth in the Sun Belt standings with Arkansas State.

Caitlyn Draper has started the last seven matches where she sports a 0.92 GAA. The freshman has made 35 saves for a .814 save percentage and recorded four shutouts.
About James Madison
Entering Friday, the Dukes are undefeated in their last eight matches (4-0-4) and have recorded six shutouts in that time. The only goals allowed came in 1-1 draws versus App State and ULM. Only setbacks have been to then 8-ranked Santa Clara (2-1) and Virginia Tech (3-0). At home, JMU is 4-0-2 with a 1-0-1 mark in conference play with a win over Marshall and the draw with the Warhawks.
Both Amanda Attanasi and Suwaibatu Mohammed have scored a team-high five goals. Shea Collins has found the back of the net three times while Alba Fernandez Almagro and Ellie Johnson have tallied two goals. Both Collins and Mohammed have posted a team best five assists.
Alexandra Blom has started all 14 matches between the posts and played a 1,194:10 minutes out of a possible 1,260 minutes. She comes in with a 0.90 GAA, 46 saves and a .793 save percentage. Seeing the other 64:50 minutes in goal is Haley Stoup. The senior played the final 20:50 against Marshall and the second half versus Louisiana and has not had to make a stop this year.
All-Time vs. Dukes
James Madison has won the only two previous meetings between the teams. Both contests came last season with the Dukes winning 3-1 in San Marcos and 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Tournament. Friday will be the first-time ever that the Bobcats will play a match in the state of Virginia.
