SAN MARCOS, Texas – A week out West begins on Monday for the Texas State men's basketball team (2-2) when it faces California (0-4) at 9 p.m. CT at Haas Pavilion. It will be the first time in program history that the Bobcats will play two Pac-12 Conference teams in the same season after opening the campaign at Washington State.
The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network and fans can also catch the action on the Varsity Sports Network with Brant Freeman on the call.

The Bobcats look to get back in the win column after dropping the I-35 rival game on Thursday.
Mason Harrell put up his second straight 20-point game and is now averaging 19.0 points per contest.
Tyrel Morgan upped his scoring mark to 12.0 ppg after a career-high 20 points against the Roadrunners. Morgan also paces the team with 5.0 rebounds per game.
A team-high seven steals have been recorded by both
Brandon Davis and
Davion Sykes. Off the bench,
Drue Drinnon is dishing out a team leading 2.8 assists per contest. Both
Brandon Love and
Nate Martin have blocked two shots apiece.
About California
The Bears most recent game saw them fall 74-66 at home to Southern. Other losses at home have been to Kansas State and UC Davis while their lone road contest saw Cal fall to UC San Diego.
Pacing the team offensively is Devin Askew at 17.5 ppg and he has handed out a squad best 14 assists. Lars Thiesmann comes in scoring 11.5 ppg and grabbing a team-high 5.8 rpg. Also in double-figures is Kuany Kuany at 10.0 ppg behind a 17-for-18 performance at the free throw line this year.

Monday will be the first-ever meeting between the Bears and Bobcats. TXST is 0-7 all-time against Pac-12 foes.
Only One
Harrell is the only player in Texas State history to have recorded 1,000 points and 300 assists. The fifth-year senior has scored 1,125 points and dished out 310 assists. He currently ranks 15th in program history for points and needs seven more to surpass Gary Mullen for 14 place and 14th to move ahead of Rudy Davalos for 13th.
