SAN MARCOS, Texas – The weekend wraps up for the Texas State soccer team (9-2-2, 3-1-1 Sun Belt) with a match at Louisiana (1-6-5, 0-3-2 Sun Belt) on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Home Bank Soccer/Track Facility.

About Texas State
The Bobcats are coming off their first conference loss on Thursday to James Madison. The lone goal for TXST came from
Madi Goss on a penalty kick. It was her team leading seventh goal of the season and the third from the penalty spot, tying her for the program's season record that Kaylee Davis set in 2019. Texas State is third in the West Division with 10 points and are a point behind South Alabama and two back of Arkansas State.
Zoe Junior comes in with four goals on the year with all of them being match-winners to share the lead in the Sun Belt and rank fifth in the nation. Netting two goals apiece has been
Bailey Peschel,
Addison Peters and
Olivia Wright.
Leading the Bobcats with four assists is
Juana Plata. Credited with two assists each is
Haley Shaw and
Mya Ulloa.
Katelyn Chrisman enters Sunday with a 1.17 GAA with 37 saves and a .725 save percentage spanning 12 matches.
About Louisiana
The Ragin' Cajuns are on an 11-match winless streak since coming away with a 2-1 victory over FIU in the season opener back on Aug. 18. Thursday saw LA score early on a penalty kick but eventually fall 3-1 at Arkansas State. The other two losses in conference action were to Old Dominion and South Alabama while the draws came versus Coastal Carolina and Georgia State.
Hailly Waterhouse has scored a team-high three goals with two coming in a draw against Stephen F. Austin. Both Karleen Bedre, who has a team leading three assists, and Ruthny Mathurin have scored twice.
Playing all 1,067:43 possible minutes in goal has been Libby Harper. She sports a 2.02 GAA with 40 saves and a .625 save percentage.

Sunday will be the 12th meeting all-time between the teams with Texas State leading the series 8-2-1. Last season's meeting ended in a 1-1 draw that saw
Hannah Solano score the tying goal late in the 13th minute.
Beth Agee came up with a save on a penalty kick late in the first half to help preserve the road point.
The Bobcats won seven straight contests from 2014-20 with all but two being decided by one goal. When playing on the road, TXST is 3-2-1 with the two losses coming in 2013 and 2020. The last win in Lafayette was on Sept. 21, 2018 by a 2-1 score in double overtime with the match-winner coming late in the 108th minute off the foot of
Ally Kewish.
