Scouting Texas State
Texas State won two of three games over Georgia State last weekend. The Bobcats were slated to face Texas in Austin on Tuesday but thunderstorms in the area forced the game's cancelation. Heading into the weekend, TXST is 13-6 in true road games with an 8-4 mark against conference foes.

Jaxon Williams leads the team with a .335 batting average and 64 hits. The Rosenberg, Texas native has also scored 53 times, driven in 28 runs and hit five home runs.

Pacing the team with 54 runs scored is Jaylen Hubbard, who is hitting .325. He shares the team lead of 15 doubles with Will Hollis and is tied for second with 62 hits with Dalton Shuffield. The senior third baseman has hit six homers and comes in with 25 RBIs.

Hollis leads the Bobcats with 41 RBIs and 39 walks while batting .319. Following his two-homer performance in the series finale against GSU, John Wuthrich paces the squad with seven home runs. The sophomore outfielder has also scored 36 times and plated 33 runs.

The starting rotation continues to remain the same with Nicholas Fraze scheduled to start Friday's opener. Hunter McMahon will take the hill on Saturday and Connor Reich is slated to take the rubber for the series finale.

Scouting Little Rock
Little Rock defeated Oral Roberts 6-5 on Tuesday in 10 innings on Riley Pittman's walk-off homer. The win snapped a three-game skid for the Trojans as they were swept on the road against South Alabama. They are 14-11 at home with an 8-3 record against Sun Belt opponents.

Pittmann is batting a team-high .331. His walk-off home run gave him 12 on the season, the third most in the Sun Belt. He also has 47 RBIs, tied for the third most in the conference, scored 35 runs and shares a team best 12 doubles with Garrett Scott.

The only other LR player hitting over .300 is Ryan Benavidez at .309. He has a team-high 58 hits and two triples. The senior outfielder also has eight homers, 30 RBIs and 40 runs scored.

James Gann has hit seven homers and driven in 20 runs with a .293 average while missing most of the month of April because of an injury. Troy Alexander comes in with 10 home runs and 33 RBIs while Chase Coker is 14-of-17 stealing bases.

Scheduled to take the hill in Friday's opener is Chandler Fidel. The junior left-hander is 5-4 with a 3.96 ERA and 76 strikeouts in 77.1 innings. Hayden Arnold, who is 4-2 with a 3.91 ERA and 59 strikeouts, will be given the ball on Saturday. Slated to start on Sunday is Jose Torres, a right-hander that is 2-3 with a 5.09 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 58.1 innings.

All-Time Series
Little Rock leads the all-time series 11-6. Last season saw the Trojans take two of three in the regular season series but Texas State defeated them 6-3 to eliminate LR from the Sun Belt Tournament.

The Bobcats have played two series in Little Rock and won one game in each three-game set. The last time the teams met in the Natural State's capital was in 2017. TXST won the opener 7-3 before dropping the next two contests.
