ABOUT TEXAS STATE
In Texas State's rout of St. Thomas, senior guard Toshua Leavitt created history. The sharpshooter connected on 7-of-9 3-point field goal attempts to score a game-high 25 points. Her second made triple of the evening put her atop the Sun Belt Conference record book for career made 3-pointers. She finished the night with 284 career makes, besting the mark set by Western Kentucky's Leslie Logsdon (278) in 2005. Leavitt leads the Bobcats in scoring (17.9 ppg) and steals (1.6 spg), while canning 4.50 makes from behind the arc per game. She is second in the conference in scoring, trailing only Alexis Brown (19.3 ppg) of Georgia Southern.

Junior guard Brooke Holle has provided the Bobcat offense with double-figure scoring in three consecutive ballgames and is averaging 14.3 points per night in those three games. For the season, she is averaging 10.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per outing.

Sophomore forward Jayla Johnson has proved to be a spark off the Bobcat bench this season. She is averaging 10.0 points and 4.9 rebounds per night in 19.6 minutes off the bench. Johnson has turned in double-figure scorecards in six-of-seven games, including a career-best 23 points against Oral Roberts.

SCOUTING MISSOURI
The Tigers are led by a dynamic frontcourt of double-figure scorers in senior guard Sophie Cunningham and junior guard Amber Smith. Cunningham leads the MIZZOU attack with 15.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, while Smith adds 14.9 points and 8.3 boards a night.

The Tiger defense has been stout in the early part of the 2018-19 campaign, holding opponents to 56.4 points per game on 34.3 percent shooting from the floor. Missouri has allowed just one team to hit the 70-point marker in a game as Michigan defeated Missouri 70-54 in the opening round of the Gulf Coast Showcase.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bobcats and Tigers have clashed twice in women's basketball. The brief series history began on Dec. 1, 2007 with a 70-61 MIZZOU victory. Nearly three full years ago, Dec. 21, 2015, the Bobcats suffered an 82-56 setback in Columbia. Leavitt, a Nixa, Mo., native, played 18 minutes as a freshman in the contest.

UP NEXT FOR THE BOBCATS
Texas State will have a quick turnaround before heading to New Orleans as participants of the 2018 Tulane Classic. The Bobcats will open the tournament with a neutral site matchup with the St. Mary's Gaels. The Tulane Green Wave and Old Dominion Monarchs will square off on the other side of the bracket. Texas State's second opponent in the event will be determined by the outcome of the action on day one. The Tulane Classic will be played on Dec. 21-22.
