SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Texas State Women's Basketball and head coach Chris Kielsmeier are excited to announce staffing updates ahead of the 2026-2027 season.
Evie Goetz has been promoted to assistant coach from graduate assistant, and the Bobcats welcome Suzan Sisman to the staff as a graduate assistant.
"In her time here, Evie has proven why she deserves to be here," said Kielsmeier. "Her work ethic, passion for the game, and ability to connect with others positions her to be one of the rising stars in this profession and made this promotion well deserved."
Evie Gotz joined the staff for her first coaching gig earlier this year after finishing her playing career at LA Tech in the 2023-24 season. Goetz was at TCU from 2021 to 2023 for the first two seasons of her career before transferring to LA Tech where she competed for her final season.
Goetz also coaches at 512 Elite, a non-profit AAU program in Austin that works to expand access to competitive basketball for athletes outside of high-cost travel programs.
"I'm incredibly grateful to Coach K for believing in me and giving me this opportunity," said Goetz. "Being part of a staff that is so passionate about developing young women both on and off the court is something special. I'm excited to continue growing as a coach and helping build something great here at Texas State."
Sisman joins the Bobcats after spending two years at Young Harris College. Prior to her time in Georgia, Sisman played the first half of her college career at McCook Community College.
"We spent a lot of time searching for the right graduate assistant, and Sue's passion for coaching and creative mindset set her apart from the rest," Kielsmeier said. "I know that both of those things combined with her creative skills will set her up for success."
Sisman grew up in Aarhus, Denmark and was a member of the U18, U19, and U20 national teams. She was also selected to represent Denmark at the 3x3 FIBA tournament 2023 and was selected for the 2024 3x3 Danish national team.
"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join Texas State Women's Basketball," said Sisman. "Having spent much of my life as a player, I'm excited to take this next step in my basketball journey, learn from an amazing coaching staff, and contribute to the growth and success of this program. I'm proud to be a Bobcat and excited for what's ahead."
