2019 Midweek Games Released

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State baseball team released its midweek slate of games for the 2019 season on Monday. There are 13 such contests with seven being played at home.
 
The first midweek game takes place on Feb. 19 at Bobcat Ballpark when Baylor comes to town. Eight days later is a meeting between the Bobcats and the Islanders of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, which also will be played in San Marcos.
 
A trip to San Antonio follows on Mar. 5 with a visit to I-35 rival UTSA. The follow day TXST is back home to take on Incarnate Word. Two other meetings with the Roadrunners will be contested this season with a game at Bobcat Ballpark on Apr. 2 and a second meeting in the Alamo City at the end of the month. Texas State travels to take on the Cardinals on the road on Mar. 19 as well.
 
For the second time in the month of March the Bobcats take on Rice on the 13th in Houston following the teams' meeting in the 19th annual Shriners' Hospitals for Children College Classic on the first. The Bobcats and Owls face off for the third and final time during the regular season on the 26th at the Bobcat Ballpark.
 
On Apr. 9, TXST heads to College Station to take on perennial powerhouse Texas A&M. A week later the Bobcats host Houston Baptist. It will be the first time the programs have met since 2013.
 
The final home midweek contest takes place on Apr. 23 against Texas. A rematch in Austin will be held on May 7.
 
All home midweek games are scheduled for a 6 p.m. start with the exception of the UIW game on Mar. 6 beginning 30 minutes later.
 
The Sun Belt Conference and non-conference weekend slates will be released later this week.
