Coach Conner Pregame Quotes
What is the team's mindset after falling to UTEP on Sunday and how are they preparing for Friday's game?
"I know after the game they were really heartbroken. They were really fighting and battling, but made some key mistakes and it cost us. They knew that they had responsibility and accountability for what they had done. As a coach you respect that and you applaud that in a sense because that's one thing of taking ownership of your performance. I'm proud of them in that aspect, but we've still got to clean up our mistakes. Our thought process [right now] is to try and clean up those mistakes and do better at getting more creative into our attack."
Why is drawing an opponent like Texas such an important thing for the program going forward?
'[First of all] it's a cross down rivalry and of course you want to go up there and play that. Then, as Bobcats, we're looking to go up there and make ourselves known on the soccer world and in the top 50. They are a top 50 program so of course you want to be able to have the chance to go up there and show everybody that you're playing at the same caliber as they are."
