San Marcos, Texas – The Texas State baseball team will look to snap a three-game losing streak in conference play when the Bobcats welcome McNeese State to Bobcat Ballpark this weekend for a three-game series. The two teams will play at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, 4 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Texas State enters the weekend after sweeping No. 16 Oregon in a pair of games on Tuesday and Wednesday at Bobcat Ballpark to improve to 16-9 overall this season.
Meanwhile, McNeese State has is on a three-game winning streak, having defeated Texas Southern on Tuesday and taking the last two games of a series against Nicholls. The Cowboys come in to the weekend with a 10-12 overall record.
Texas State is currently in a tie for sixth place in the conference standings with a 4-5 Southland record, while McNeese sits in a tie for third place at 6-3 in league play.

Texas State has a 6-2 record against nationally-ranked opponents this season. The Bobcats have defeated No. 37 Wichita State, No. 18/No. 19 TCU (twice), No. 4 Rice and No. 16 Oregon (twice).
First Career Starts
Redshirt freshman Taylor Black has made two career starts for Texas State and won both of them against nationally-ranked opponents. The righty defeated No. 19 TCU in his first-ever appearance in mid-March before throwing 6 1/3 strong innings against No. 16 Oregon when he also earned the victory.
