2011: All-Southland Conference Honorable Mention ... weekend starter who finished with a team-best 9-2 record in his first season as a starter … had a 4.33 ERA with 72 strikeouts in 87 1/3 innings pitched … won his first five decisions ... earned the win after tossing five innings with two earned runs allowed in first career start against Air Force ... set a career high with nine strikeouts against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3/6) ... held Lamar (3/27) to one earned run over 7 1/3 innings … tossed 5 1/3 innings without allowing an earned run against McNeese State (5/1) … earned his ninth win of the season in a seven-inning, complete-game performance against Sam Houston State (5/27), holding the Bearkats to two runs over seven innings.

 

2010: Made two appearances out of the bullpen for the Bobcats … allowed five earned runs over one 1/3 innings of work while striking out one.

High School: Lettered three years at Joshua High School under head coach Jason Bourgeois ... helped the Owls win an District 8-4A Championship in 2008 ... earned first team all-district honors three straight seasons ... named all-county MVP and was all-state as a pitcher his senior season ... threw four no-hitters in his high school career.

Personal: Son of Chuck and Kelly Turner … born on January 17 ... has one brother, Will ... major is business management.
