San Marcos, Texas – Southland Conference leaders No. 23 Texas State and Sam Houston State will meet this weekend in Huntsville for a three-game series at Sanders Stadium. The Bobcats and Bearkcats will begin play on Friday at 6:30 p.m. before playing at 4 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Texas State (14-6, 4-2 SLC) enters the weekend after beating No. 19 TCU for the second time this season, giving the Bobcats their second best 20-game start under head coach Ty Harrington. Texas State has won each of their first two Southland Conference series this season and will look to make that three in a row beginning Friday.
Sam Houston State (11-9, 4-2 SLC), which is coming off a 10-3 loss to Baylor on Wednesday, has also won each of its first two SLC series this season, defeating Stephen F. Austin to open the season and Nicholls last weekend.
The Bobcats have won four straight games over Sam Houston State and have won 31 of 41 games against the Bearkcats since Harrington took over the program in 2000.
