San Marcos, Texas – Texas State will play for the second straight day when the Bobcats host Prairie View A&M on Wednesday at Bobcat Ballpark. First pitch for the game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

The Bobcats (25-15) enter Wednesday's game after a 2-0 loss to No. 4 Texas on Tuesday evening in Austin.

Prairie View A&M (21-16) had a four-game winning streak snapped in its last game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sunday.

Starting on the mound for the first time in his collegiate career will be freshman Kyle Finnegan. The right hander has made five appearances out of the bullpen thus far in 2011, including most recently against Northwestern State when he threw a scoreless inning.

The Panthers will send Kellen Simmons to the mound for his eighth start of the season. Simmons has a 3-3 record and 5.95 earned-run average this season.

Tickets for the game can be purchased prior to the game at the Texas State Athletics Ticket Office or at the gate. Gates to Bobcat Ballpark will open at 5:00 p.m.
