San Marcos, Texas – Texas State men's basketball will host Stephen F. Austin on Wednesday, February 2, in the second game of the double header. Tip-off at Strahan Coliseum is slated for 7:30 p.m. Both the Bobcats and Lumberjacks are 3-3 in conference play and are in a three-way tie for second place in the west division.

Scouting Texas State
Texas State (8-12, 3-3 SLC) fell to UT Arlington 83-66 in its last contest to drop to 3-3 in conference play. The Bobcats have yet to win a conference road contest, but will play both games this week at home where they are 3-0 in league play. Texas State is led by team captains Cameron Johnson and Tony Bishop; Texas State's top scorers and rebounders. The Bobcats are shooting 45 percent from the field and averaging 79.6 points per game.
Scouting Stephen F. Austin
Stephen F. Austin (12-6, 3-3 SLC) opened conference play with a 10-point loss to Southeastern La., but has since gone 3-2. SFA is coming off a 46-45 loss to A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday at home. Stephen F. Austin has the No. 1 scoring defense in the country holding its opponents to 53.3 points per game. The Lumberjacks are led by Jereal Scott (11.8 ppg, 5.5 rpg) and Jordan Glynn (11.6 ppg, 8.6 rpg). SFA as a team is averaging 69.1 points per outing, outscoring its opponents by a margin of 15.8. The Lumberjacks out rebounding their opponent by 8.3 and are pulling down an average of 36.8 boards per game.

Austin used a pair of decisive runs to overtake the Texas State men's basketball team and pull out a 77-70 victory. Cameron Johnson led Texas State with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Uriel Segura netted 16 points and Emmanuel Bidias A' Moute tallied 15 points off the bench.
