Grambling, La. – A trio of goals by Britney Curry helped lead Bobcat soccer to a 5-0 victory over Grambling State this afternoon at Lady Tigers Soccer Field. The Bobcats improve to 3-4-0 overall, while Grambling State dropped to 0-4-0 on the season.

Thirty-seven seconds into the game B. Curry scored Texas State's first goal to put the Bobcats up 1-0. Texas State continued to produce as Kelsie Townsend scored less than five minutes later off an assist from Katie Herrick. Sydney Curry recorded the last goal of the first period for the Bobcats with an assist by Emma Staley.

After finishing the first period up 3-0, Texas State's offense stayed one step ahead of the Grambling State defense for the rest of the game. B. Curry registered a pair of goals in the second half, including a penalty kick for the Bobcats as they came away with the 5-0 win.

Texas State will return to San Marcos on Friday, Sept. 17 to host Prairie View A&M at 7:00 p.m. at Bobcat Soccer Stadium. The Bobcats will then hit the road to play Houston Baptist on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 1:00 p.m.
