SAN MARCOS, Texas – Coming off a ranked series sweep over the weekend, Texas State (15-8) host UTRGV (13-11) Tuesday night at Bobcat Ballpark with first pitch set for 6 p.m.

The contest will be broadcast on KTSW 89.9 FM with the school's first-ever Spanish language broadcast. Fans can also watch the game on ESPN+ and live stats will be available.

The Bobcats recorded their first-ever weekend sweep of a ranked opponent after taking all three games from then 25-ranked Louisiana. It was the third sweep ever over the Ragin' Cajuns and first since 2022. In the series finale, TXST hit a program tying eight home runs, which are tied for the third most in a contest this season in the nation.

Rashawn Galloway enters Tuesday riding a 16-game hitting streak. During the span, the senior is hitting .485 (32-for-66) with 18 RBI, 17 runs, 10 doubles and two home runs. He has recorded multiple hits in 11 of the contests. For the season, Galloway is batting .389 with a Sun Belt Conference leading 11 doubles while also driving in 23 runs and scoring 23 times.

The only other TXST batter hitting over .300 is
Manny Salas at .366. The junior has scored 22 times, plated 20 runs and is tied for the team lead with six home runs. Also hitting six homers has been
Jackson Cotton (16 RBI) and
Dawson Park, who has a team-high 30 RBI while batting .297.

Chase Mora,
Clayton Namken,
Jaquae Stewart and Galloway. Mora is second in program history with 34 career round trippers and is two shy of tying Paul Goldschmidt's all-time mark.

Scheduled to make his second straight midweek start is
Will Canalichio. The lefty has struck out nine in 9.1 innings over eight appearances.

ABOUT UTRGV
The Vaqueros head into Tuesday having won three straight and six of their last seven games. They are coming off a rod sweep at Houston Christian. In midweek contests, UTRGV is 2-5 this season with both wins coming at home over Texas Southern. The Vaqueros are 8-7 on the road with a 0-3 mark in midweek games.

Leading the team with a .372 average, 23 runs and eight doubles is Thomas Williams. Also batting over .300 is Julius Ramirez (.312) and Hank Warren (.333). Armani Raygoza has hit a team-high 10 home runs with 25 RBI while Ramirez has driven in 31 runs.

Robert Bonillia is slated to start on the mound on Tuesday. The right-hander sports a 11.81 ERA with five strikeouts in 5.1 innings spanning five games. He has made one start which came in the series finale against Kansas back on Feb. 15.

SERIES VS. VAQUEROS
Texas State leads the all-time series 49-26. UTRGV won last season's meeting 11-9 to snap the Bobcats' five-game winning streak in the series. Overall, TXST has won 10 of the last 13 meetings dating back to 2007.
