SAN MARCOS, Texas — Texas State women's basketball will close out its home slate for the 2025-26 season this week in Strahan Arena. The Bobcats will host Arkansas State on Feb. 18 at 7 pm and South Alabama on Feb. 21 at 2 pm.
 
The Bobcats' game with the Red Wolves will be part of the team's Black History Month Celebration, while Saturday's game with South Alabama will be part of Senior Night and Alumni celebrations. Be sure to get to Saturday's game early to honor

ABOUT THE REDWOLVES

• Arkansas State enters the week with a 20-7 record on the year and are 11-3 in Sun Belt play. 
• Arkansas State is led by head coach Destinee Rogers who is in her 5th season leading the program. She has a 75-64 record in her tenure. 
• Zyion Shannon leads the Redwolves with an average of 13.1 points per game. She is one of two players averaging double digits, alongside Crislyn Rose (12.4).
• Defensively, Wynter Rogers leads the way with 6.6rebounds per game. 

SERIES HISTORY VS ARKANSAS STATE

• Texas State is 3-4 all-time against Southern Miss.
• Southern Miss won the first game between these two teams this season by a 76-62 scoreline on Jan. 14.

ABOUT THE JAGUARS

• South Alabama enters the week with a 9-16 record on the year and are 2-12 in Sun Belt play. 
• The Jaguars are led by head coach Yolisha Jackson who is in third second season in charge of the program, she has a 24-63 record in her tenure.
• Cordasia Harris leads the Jaguars with an average of 15.4 points per game. She is one of three Jaguars players averaging double-digits a night, alongside Amyah Sutton (11.5) and Daniela Gonzalez (10.0).
• Harris leads the team in rebounding with an average of 8.8 per night.
• South Alabama will face Troy on Feb. 18 before their trip to Strahan Arena.

SERIES HISTORY VS SOUTH ALABAMA

• Texas State is 16-5 all-time against South Alabama.
• Texas State won the last three meetings between the two teams, including last week's meeting where the Bobcats won 69-63 in Mobile. Last season, Texas State won by a 65-54 score on Jan. 11, 2025, and by a 63-56 score on Feb. 28, 2025.

 
ABOUT THE BOBCATS

• Texas State enters the week with a 11-14 record after going 7-7 so far in Sun Belt play and coming off a loss to Southern Miss.
• The Bobcats are led by Head Coach Zenarae Antoine who is the winningest coach in program history, the lone with over 200 career wins. 
• Leading the scoring for Texas State is Saniya Burks who averages 14.2 points per game and has six games with 20+ points this season.
• Sophomore Kyra Anderson is the team's second leading scorer with 12.8 points per night, but she also leads the team in rebounds, averaging 8.32per game.
